Botanical Arts Festival
Botanical Art Show Opening Celebration and First Fridays Reception at the McGuffey Arts Center

Every other year, the Museum dedicates significant gallery space to this exhibition, offering artists an opportunity to present their work within a dynamic institutional context. The biennial format allows for expanded visibility, meaningful professional recognition and opportunities, and a platform that connects artists to broader audiences.
Made in VA remains grounded in its original purpose: to support and elevate artists across the Commonwealth. In this new building and at this pivotal moment in the Museum’s history, the exhibition continues to reflect our commitment to fostering creativity, dialogue, and community through contemporary art.

The artist residency program of The Truro Center for the Arts at Edgewood Farm is a program that began in 2017, developed to encourage the creative, intellectual and personal growth of emerging and established artists. It works in connection with our distinguished educational facility at the Castle Hill Campus, whose mission is to foster the arts for the local and regional community. The Truro Center for the Arts at Edgewood Farm will focus on the development of “the artistic process” by providing artists a beautiful place to work for an extended period of time.
